FAQ’S – Suit Drop Policies

Q) How do I get my size?

A) We use our algorithms to find your proper size based on 3 main ingredients of Height Weight and JEAN waist size ( must be a non-stretchy jean)  and not a dress pant. Be as accurate as possible for the best results.

 

Q) What sizes do you go up to ?

A) we go up to mostly size 54 jackets in suit packages with the Black collection up to size 62

 

Q) I am a body builder and/or stocky broad shoulder or very tall or very short?

A) The algorithms are suitable for most body builds. However please not that the suits all come with 6-inch drops meaning that a 42 jacket for example comes with a 36 pant. THUS, if the algorithms show that you are a 2-4 -6 or 8 inch or more drop from pants to jacket then a separate pant may be required do please contact us prior to ordering as many styles are not available for separates. Example if you are a 52 jacket and a 38 pant and the separates are not available in the chosen style it is best to contact us to see if we can help. In some cases we may need to refer you to a store that has those options available.

 

Q) Can I measure myself?

A) Yes you can and we also have a printable measuring tape available here along with our Sizing and Fit Guide https://weddingshowroom.ca/pages/sizing-fit

PLEASE NOTE – EVEN IF YOU MEASURE YOURSELF PLEASE SEND US THE HEIGHT WEIGHT AND JEAN WAIST SIZE FOR BEST RESULTS.

 

Q) When will I receive my suit or tux?

A) We ship within in 3-5 days when in stock? Please fill out the EXACT EVENT DATE and the LIKE TO RECEIVE BY DATE. Please Note depending on where you are located in Canada it can take from 3 days to 10 business days to arrive. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE DELIVERY DATES WITH SHIPPING CARRIERS !

 

Q) How late can I order my suit or tux?

A) always order as early as possible to allow time for any adjustments or changes. Furthermore we cannot accept orders within 3 weeks of an event without contacting us first to see availability including shipping timelines?

 

 

Q) what is the exchange-refund policy?

A) the items can be returned in original unworn condition within 3 business days of receipt for a full refund and only with an AUTHORIZED RETURN NUMBER PROVIDED BY US BY EMAIL and the return freight will be the responsibility of the purchaser and no credit refund will be applied until the product is returned in original and unworn condition! We reserve the right to decline a refund. We also provide an online store credit for future use for any products online if you prefer to not move forward with your suit purchase.

 

Q) What if it does not fit?

A) Before returning the item a\- a zoom or facetime virtual fitting will be done to guide you to the proper fit. It is normal for some to feel that a suit is tight in the shoulder when they cross their arms; however, the fit is also dependent on the smoothness and contour of the suit on the body. We will guide you . Sometimes an alteration may be required if in between sizes on the suit, jacket or pants. Alterations are not provided by Suit Drop and are done with your chosen local tailor.

 

Q) How much are alterations?

A) Suit Drop sends you a pre-hemmed jacket but a NON -Hemmed pant as the pants are worn at different heights by different people as well as with different footwear so this is always best to be done locally for proper length with your chosen footwear.

 

IN GENERAL: Most suits only need JUST pant hemming on 90% of all suits .

Depending on one’s arm length and torso – some fits may require a shortening or lengthening of a sleeve jacket and broad-shouldered fits may also require the back to be taken in or taken out depending on the individual body type. This can be finalized by a local tailor HOWEVER – if unsure please contact us for a virtual fitting to do our best to see if you can avoid those alterations and / or if we are best to change your suit if a better fit is deemed possible.

Pants in general depending on the HIP measurement via our algorithms will dictate whether a waist are may need to be taken our or brought in by a local tailor or seamstress.
